Our Method:

We teach our classes with an immersion approach, meaning all classes are held in a “Spanish-only” environment with a native-Spanish speaking teacher. Even beginning students will be completely immersed in the Spanish language on the first day of class. Our materials are also in all Spanish. Please come to class with an open mind and relax into the rhythm of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish.

The A1 Beginner Course is designed to last 4 months, or 64 hours. All other courses last 3 months, or 48 hours. Special scheduling can be arranged to suit your needs. Most classes are limited to 6 – 7 students.

Beginning
A1 (for first-time Spanish students)
A2 (for students with some basic knowledge of Spanish)

Intermediate
B1 (for students who have completed beginning Spanish classes)
B2 (for students who have completed beginning and some intermediate classes)

Advanced
C1 (for students who are ready to advance to the subjunctive tense)
C2 (for students seeking grammatical clarification, as well utilize literature and high-level conversation)

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students enrolled in group classes are allowed one “free” absence per month. In order to avoid being charged for the one missed class, you must notify us via email (dallasspanishhouse@gmail.com) that you will be absent. If you are unable to send an email, please call the school (214) 826-4410 and speak with Catherine or leave a voicemail. Once we receive your message, we will make a note not to charge you for the missed class, and it will be carried over until the next month. If we are not notified of your absence, you will be charged for the missed class.

If you have travel plans and will miss 2 weeks or more of class, please notify us in advance so that we will not charge you while you are gone. If you miss 4 consecutive classes, we will do our best to schedule private sessions to help you catch up with your class. Due to limited schedules, it is sometimes tricky to arrange for enough private classes before resuming your group class; therefore, we highly recommend that you make plans to attend your group class regularly.

In order to avoid being charged for missed PRIVATE classes, students must cancel their private class at least 24 hours in advance. If we do not receive notification within this time frame, students will be charged for missed private classes.
